Hi, I’m Andrej — better known online as Techserract, from a small country called Slovenia.

Before it was a career, the internet was a playground. In my student days I wired up private PC networks and hand-coded HTML pages, and back when optical fiber stopped short of western Slovenia, I helped bring the first main internet branch to a region that simply didn’t have one. Building things people could actually use hooked me for life — and I’ve kept my hands in the hardware ever since.

By day I’m a system administrator, where the stakes are real: downtime isn’t an option and “good enough” isn’t either. Before that, I ran corporate digital archiving and fought my way up through the help desk trenches — always the person who reacts fast, adapts faster, and would rather hunt for a fix than dwell on a mistake. At home, that same spirit lives on in my homelab: networks, virtualization, servers, and the occasional soldering session when curiosity outruns the manual.

The gamer in me is older than the career. It began with a little handheld machine where the hero could only reach three positions — carrying a bucket, catching water drops from drying clothes (you know the one). Then the Atari 2600, the Game Boy/NES/SNES haul through Nintendo’s golden era — and I still carry the Nintendo torch. The PlayStation and original Xbox eventually joined the party too. When PCs finally entered the picture, I dove into Unreal Tournament ‘99 and UT 2004 with a clan, chasing our fifteen minutes on the Clanbase ladders. We weren’t that good. It was still the best of times. And on the side, I could often be found holding a lane on a Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory server — a game from a golden era that never quite let go.

Online I’ve worn a few names across the years — TriX, Apocalyps3, and now Techserract — under which I write, stream, and tinker. People think my motto is a cute line about seeing the world differently. It’s actually the most accurate thing on this page — and no amount of Googling is going to tell you why.
